The waste diversion office for the City of Lincoln, Nebraska set two ambitious goals to improve recycling participation in the city. First, virtually eliminate corrugated cardboard from entering the city’s landfill. Second, reduce the amount of trash that people put in recycling bins. Carson+Co Global partnered with Verdis Group to strategize and deliver a three-year public education campaign that resulted in the city achieving both its goals.
